Oxnard House Fire Displaces Seven

Four adults, three children and a number of their pets have been displaced because of severe fire damage to their Oxnard home.

Sixteen Oxnard firefighters, representing three engines, a truck company, a rescue unit and a Battalion Chief responded to the call at 3:07 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. The fire in the 1200 block of I Street was knocked down in approximately 25 minutes. Fire damaged the home and a vehicle parked in the driveway.

Oxnard Police and Gold Coast Ambulance also responded to the scene. The American Red Cross has been called to assist the displaced family.

Oxnard Fire Investigators are on scene, working to determine the cause and loss amounts.

There are no injuries.

Oxnard firefighters will remain on scene for salvage and overhaul operations.
