Oxnard, CA. - The City of Oxnard Development Services Department/Planning Division will be holding the third in a series of workshops to provide additional review and comment on matters of interest to the community.

The 2030 General Plan workshop regarding Public Facilities and Services and Schools will take place from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 25, 2010 in Meeting Room B of the Oxnard Public Library, 251 South “A” Street in Oxnard.

As has been in previous workshops, Mr. Ted Knowlton of the Compact for a Sustainable Ventura County will serve as facilitator for this workshop.

The subject matter for the workshops includes brief presentation from Public Safety, Public Works, Housing, Parks, Recreation, Library and Transportation for Public Facilities and Services and from five primary, secondary and Community College Districts for the Schools portion of the workshop.

The purpose of these workshops is to gather together stakeholders and interested groups and individuals to review discuss and report issues and concerns regarding the Oxnard Draft 2030 General Plan, land use map, goals and policies.
