GREAT Program Recycled Water Pipeline Construction Project WEEKEND ROAD WORK – JULY 24 AND 25 Ventura Road and Gonzales Road Intersection

Work continues on the Ventura Road construction project between Gonzales Road and Vineyard Avenue. Traffic controls remain in place on Ventura Road with one lane open in each direction.

On Saturday, July 24 and Sunday, July 25 through traffic on Gonzales Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction at Ventura Road. There will be very short periods of total street closure to allow for the movement of construction materials, vehicles and personnel.

Two-way traffic will be available on Gonzales Road with delays expected. Motorists may use the following alternate routes: eastbound traffic on Gonzales Road may use Patterson Road to Doris Avenue; westbound traffic on Gonzales Road may use H Street to Doris Avenue. Traffic signs will be posted in advance.

While the lane closures on Gonzales Road will create a temporary inconvenience to the community, the closures will allow construction work to be expedited, minimizing the duration of traffic impacts. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated as we move forward with these infrastructure improvements that address current and future needs of our city. Residents are asked to be watchful in construction areas and remember to “slow for the cone”.
