| The Relationship Between Text and Film Discussion Series |
Many popular novels and short stories have been adapted for the screen. The Oxnard Public Library will host a book discussion series delving into the relationship between text and film. Participants will have an opportunity to view the films, read the books, and share in the discussions.
Everyone is invited to view the films; however, book discussions are limited to the first 15 who sign up. Please sign up by phone (385-7532) or in person at the Help Desk beginning July 17. Seating at the films is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
All events will be held in Meeting Room B beginning at 5:30 p.m. on the following dates:
- July 27: Movie for discussion on August 10 (unrated)
- Aug. 10: Book Discussion Emma
- Aug. 31: Movie for discussion on September 14 (rated PG-13)
- Sept. 14: Book Discussion The Namesake
- Sept. 28: Movie for discussion on October 12 (rated PG-13)
- Oct. 12: Book Discussion The Kite Runner
- Oct. 26: Movie for discussion on Novemeber 9 (rated PG-13)
- Nov. 9: Book Discussion Rear Window
